Hiring someone to care for your children or offer guidance in the feeding of your baby can be intimate and emotional. I approach every client and situation thoughtfully and not without an in-depth consultation. I pride myself on the many successful and meaningful relationships I’ve developed with my clients. See what they have to say.
I can highly recommend Rachel as your Lactation Consultant and as an overnight doula. She was supportive of my journey from the start-which was not a traditional breastfeeding journey-but involved mostly pumping and the possibility of using formula from the start. She supported me, never judged me or pushed me to "pump more", etc. I was worried about this because when I had my first child, some of my providers wanted me to put my mental health last and put breast feeding first. Rachel never made me feel this way and was amazing! She took the time to show me how to properly pump, going the extra mile by coming to my house & watching me pump and always answering my texts or calls in a timely manner. I had a lot of trouble with pumping- especially with clogs-and she gave me wonderful tips and I am in a much better place now. I learned so much from Rachel this time around and I am so thankful for her. I can proudly say that I am at 3 and half months and my TWINS have had majority breastmilk at this time!!! I would thank Rachel for that :).
I would also recommend hiring Rachel for overnight help. It was the only time I could rest peacefully knowing that my babies were in trustworthy hands. Every time Rachel came over, she would get both babies sleeping soundly and I did not have to worry about anything. I could get rest and she would help me with the bottles, laundry, etc. I would highly recommend Rachel for overnights at your house if you need some sleep with newborns! She is a natural and your babies will be in good hands.
Rachel is just wonderful! She has a wealth of knowledge and made me feel confident in my journey post partum. She taught me how to do so many things you don't know you have to do until your a mom. She was there for me and my son from the first week I brought home my baby boy and she has continued her support in helping guide me along the path of motherhood. I could not be more grateful to have her in my life!
Rachel completely transformed my postpartum experience for the better. After a rough c-section recovery with my first daughter, I knew that for my second child (no matter if i had a repeat c or vbac), I wanted to be more prepared and that's exactly what I found with Rachel. She provided priceless emotional support, breastfeeding help and referrals for my daughter's oral ties, and anything we needed done around and outside of the house. Her support was an enormous weight off of all of our shoulders as we transitioned from 1 child to 2. I can't thank her enough, plus her homemade peanut butter balls are pretty amazing! :)
Rachel was an absolute blessing both prior to birth in her breastfeeding class and postpartum for one on one in-home sessions. She was professional, knowledgeable and gave a personal experience and cares about her clients.
Her class was extremely invaluable and she left us with a print out of all the material which came in handy once the baby was born and I needed to reference certain things.
Rachel was able to help us identify mouth and tongue ties that were causing some feeding issues and referred us to some great professionals for removal. She followed up with a session after removal in the comfort of our home and helped our baby re-learn to latch. She also helped with flange fittings for a breast pump.
She also made herself available for questions via text and was super helpful and encouraging.
Highly recommended
I’m so happy I was referred to Rachel! I was overwhelmed and having issues with my pumping journey so I scheduled an in home consultation with her. Rachel is an absolute gem and made me so much more at ease when I was feeling frustrated and confused. She took the time to go over things and answered all the questions I had. She is a wealth of knowledge and I truly learned so much. I highly recommend Rachel and her services!
Our family is so thankful for Rachel. She did a home visit on super short notice and helped me save my sanity and our breastfeeding journey. She picked up on cheek ties that were significantly affecting our latch, and helped direct us to the proper providers to take care of it. She made herself readily available via phone and text and frequently checked in our physical, mental and emotional well being. If I would change anything, it would have been that I found her prenatally and taken the breastfeeding course she offers so I could have been better prepared. All the thanks to Rachel!
Rachel was an invaluable source of comfort and knowledge when my child was born. She helped me nurse without pain and manage my own hormone fluctuations. When my son manifested allergies transmitted through breast milk, she helped me safely adjust our breastfeeding journey. Having a newborn is wonderful chaos, and I can't imagine a better expert to help through those stressful challenges and magical moments.
I was referred to Rachel from a mutual friend when Cal was only a few weeks old. He was having countless issues nursing and was miserable. Right away, Rachel spotted his lip tie - which ended up being a lip, tongue and cheek ties. She referred and got us into a pediatric dentist to have the mouth revisions. She also connected us with a pediatric chiropractor and a sleep coach that were amazing as well. As wonderful as all of that was, I think the very best part of working with Rachel was being able to text her every day - one thousand times a day. Whether it was a questions or a photo - she always had the answer and put my mind at ease. She is the best of best and I am forever indebted to her for helping my son become the smiley, happy baby he is today!
Rachel came into my family’s life five years ago, and has been a blessing to us ever since. I knew within the first minute of meeting her that she had the heart and instincts to be a wonderful sitter for our 12 month-old daughter, Willa. She politely introduced herself to me, then got down on the floor to watch and play with Willa. Rachel naturally became so much more than a sitter to us. She is a kind and compassionate friend, and feels like family. Her “parenting” advice is open, honest, and full of wisdom. I have always had full confidence in leaving my children in her care: Rachel quickly got to know and understand each of my girls, and has adapted to suit their changing needs. When she watched my second child as a newborn, Rachel was happy to keep her strapped into the carrier (where Alice was most content) for hours, as she entertained my two year old. Now, she is patient with my head-strong six year-old and playful and consistent with my free-spirited three year-old. Rachel has such a passion for working with babies, children, and new moms, and I am so glad to know her!
Rachel is a beautiful person inside and out. Her love and dedication to our family has been evident since the first time she held my daughter at 2 months old. There was an immediate connection with her and our family and the rest is history. Rachel became an integral part of our family and our bond only grew stronger with the arrival of baby brother last year. She is a loving, caring, forward thinking, creative and talented playmate and educator for the kids, organizer for our family lives and a huge bonus... a Disney concierge! She goes above and beyond in all that she does. As my husband and I have very demanding full time careers, it is essential that we have 100% faith and trust that our children are safe and cared for daily. We could not do what we do without Rachel. I have said time and time again... “everybody needs a Rachel.”
Rachel has been a trusted extension of our family since the early weeks of my baby’s life. I’ve never left the house feeling anxious or worried because I know she is able to handle any situation. She’s hands on, attentive and always offers great advice. Not only does she regularly provide us with stellar childcare, she was able to provide guidance during a bout of particularly challenging mastitis.
